Please note that RAWNY does not offer telehealth visits though this app. You can still use the app to look at upcoming appointments, add or change demographic or medical information, and view visit notes.

Q: What is the “practice URL?”
A: The Retina Associates of Western NY practice URL (patient portal web address) is rawny.ema.md which should be entered into an approved browser, either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Please note you should NOT type www or https in front of the URL.
Q: Do all of my medical doctors have access to my echart at RAWNY?
A: NO. RAWNY is an independent practice and does not necessarily use the same electronic medical records system as all of your other doctors’ offices. Therefore, we cannot always import all of your records from other offices and will need you to fill out our own forms.
Q: Who has access to my electronic chart?
A: Only you, your physician, and authorized RAWNY staff have access to your electronic chart.
Q: I had my appointment but never received the patient portal activation link in my email.
A: Please call our office at 585-442-3411 and ask one of our Patient Service Representatives to re-send you the link. Be sure to verify that we have your correct email address and mobile phone number on file. The activation link expires after 72 hours.
Q: What if I don’t know my username?
A: In most cases, your patient portal username is your email address. If that does not work, call our office at 585-442-3411 and one of our staff members can look up your username for you.
Q: I forgot my password. What do I do?
A: You can click the “Forgot password” link on the sign-in page to reset your password online. Follow the prompts to have a new password reset link sent to your email. RAWNY staff can also reset your password for you if necessary.
Q: Can I message my doctor through the patient portal?
A: Unfortunately, the option to message your doctor through the patient portal is not currently available. If you have a question, or would like to give your doctor a message, please call the office and one of our Patient Service Representatives will assist you.
Q: Once I get into my patient portal, where can I view my visit notes?
A: Visit notes can be found by clicking on Appointments along the top and then clicking Past Appointments on the left side of the page. Next, click on the link for the visit note you’d like to view. Any visits prior to 11/14/23 (when we switched records systems) will not show up in this portal and will need to be requested by calling our office.
Q: Can I see my bill in my patient portal?
A: There is a billing section of the portal where you can view your bill, view your current balance, and make a payment. Please note there may be a delay from the date of your visit to when the statement appears in your portal.
Q: I am locked out of my patient portal. What should I do?
A: Please call the office at 585-442-3411 to have a Patient Services Representative unlock your account.
